Review
SolidConverterDWG is a very handy tool to convert DWG and DXF files to other formats, which facilitates their redistribution. Formats accepted are:
* PDF (Adobe Acrobat)
* BMP
* GIF
* PNG
* TIF
* JPG
The program offers the easiest way possible to perform conversion, the first screen is a regular "Open File" dialog (with some options added to the right side), where you can select one file or multiple files (for batch conversion). After that, you press "convert" and a second window appears, asking you the destination format and location. Once you specify this, just click "convert" and relax! After the process finishes, you can navigate to the destination folder and see the results.
The program offers also some options to protect the PDF output.
I find this program very useful if you have occasional handling of DWF/DXF files and you need a very fast way to publish them.
Of course, there will be some files that this program will not convert and fall into an error, just depends on how much you use it. |
